The power of daily physical movement has become increasingly popular and has seen many realise the holistic benefits. 30 minutes of exercise a day is all that’s needed right? The old saying 30 minutes a day, push play will never grow old. I’m sure many of you have experienced the effects of what daily exercise can do not only physically, but mentally. Pushing play/exercise has become so broad today that any sort of planned or incidental activity can be considered exercise. By planned I mean going to a gym class, meeting up with friends to go for a walk, swimming laps at the pools and by incidental I mean mowing the lawns, weeding the gardens, doing grocery shopping, chopping firewood etc. That is what we call incidental activity, not necessarily planned exercise, however you’re building up a sweat or increasing your heart rate by doing normal household duties.
Obviously you’re killing two brids with one stone with these sort of activities. So how will you push play today, tomorrow and the day after?
